  "Andnow,toyoualsowhosehandsfashionandfindallthingsthatareneedfulforthefortofourdaysandhts—

  "Tobeistobeaweaverwithseeingfingers,abuildermindfuloflightandspace;tobeaploughmanahatyouarehidingatreasurewitheveryseedyousow;tobeafishermanandahuhapityforthefishandforthebeast,yetastillgreaterpityforthehungerandneedofman.

  "And,aboveall,Isaythis:Iwouldhaveyoueadeveryoothepurposeofeveryman,foronlysoshallyouhopetoobtainyoodpurpose.

  "Myradesandmybeloved,beboldandnotmeek;bespaciousandnotfined;anduntilmyfinalhourandyoursbeindeedyreaterself."

  Andheceasedspeakingandtherefelladeepgloomuponthenine,andtheirheartwasturnedawayfromhim,fortheyuoodnothiswords.
